Antonelli: "Q1 was a nightmare but we recovered well"

The young driver stated that he was under pressure due to the mistakes he made in Q1, but made a good recovery at the end of the session.
"Yeah, it was quite stressful. Q1 was a nightmare, and I struggled a lot in Turn 4 as the wind picked up. I had massive blockages on both laps and lost time. I had to use an extra set of tyres and ended up with only one set in Q3. It was a good recovery though, we were very close to P4. Overall, it wasn't bad, now we're looking ahead to tomorrow," he said.
Antonelli described this weekend as a “re-learning process of the track” following last year’s practice session.
"Last year there was more grip. I had to relearn this weekend, but taking part in all the sessions helped. I felt strong in the car, I just need to put everything together in qualifying."
Sharing his expectations for the race, the young pilot spoke with hope despite his starting position.
"I'm starting on the dirt side, but the slipstream is very effective on this track. Anything can happen until Turn 1. I'll try to get a good start and maintain my position, maybe even gain a few places," he said.
